Oldest Air Conditioning Contest

Oldest Air-Conditioner Entry Rules:

  • The contest is for owner occupied, single family homes with central a/c systems.
  • Entrants must be legal adults and legal residents of Alabama
  • Entrants must be homeowners and fully empowered to make purchase and home improvement decisions regarding their residence
  • Homes must be located within the Hembree Heating & Air service area, defined as: Baldwin and Mobile Counties.
  • Entries may be turned in to the Hembree Heating & Air booth at the Eastern Shore Business Expo, completed online at www.hembreeac.com, emailed to josh@hembreeac.com, or mailed to 16889 Teresa Drive Fairhope, AL 36532.
  • The a/c system must be operating and providing cooling to the home.
  • Representatives from Hembree Heating & Air must be allowed access to the a/c system to examine the installation and record manufacturer nameplate information.
  • The winner will be the oldest a/c system submitted according to objective information (e.g. the a/c nameplate), installation or sale paperwork provided by the homeowner, or the best judgment of Hembree Heating & Air employees.
  • All decisions are final.
  • The winner will be selected on 6/1/2019 and informed prior to media announcements.
  • The winner will be posted online at www.hembreeac.com by 6/5/2019.
  • The winning entry will receive: One 14 SEER a/c system replacement of the brand of Hembree Heating & Air’s choosing.
  • The winning entry will be responsible for any major code improvements deemed necessary by Hembree Heating & Air. Minor improvements will be covered by Hembree Heating & Air.
  • The winning entry will agree to allow Hembree Heating & Air to use images and likenesses of the old and new a/c system and homeowners and the homeowners’ name in promotional material.
  • The winner will provide Hembree Heating & Air with 12 months of power bill information prior to the replacement, 12 months of power bill information following the installation, and release Hembree Heating & Air to share this information with the public.
  • Entrants agree to receive newsletters and other information from Hembree Heating & Air from time to time. Hembree Heating & Air lists or customer information will not be shared with other companies. Entrants can remove themselves from any subscription lists at any time by notifying Hembree Heating & Air by mail, phone, through the Hembree Heating & Air website, or by email if they desire to be removed from any lists.
  • Entrants agree to hold Hembree Heating & Air, its owners, officers, agents, and employees harmless for any injuries, loss, or damages related to the contest.
  • Prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
  • No entry fee or purchase required.
  • Employees of Hembree Heating & Air and their family members are not eligible.
