Hembree Gives Thanks 2026 Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO NOMINATE OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE A NOMINEE’S CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. Sponsor. Hembree Air Comfort, Inc., doing business as Hembree Heating & Air, 8380 Tanner Williams Road, Mobile, Alabama 36608 (“Hembree”).
2. Nomination period. Nominations are accepted from 12:00 p.m. Central Time on November 2, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. Central Time on November 23, 2026 (the “Nomination Period”). Hembree’s clock is the official clock.
3. Who may nominate. Any legal U.S. resident 18 or older may submit nominations. A person may not nominate themselves. There is no limit on the number of different people one nominator may nominate.
4. Who may be nominated. A nominee must (a) be 18 or older; (b) own and live in, as a primary residence, a site-built or manufactured home in Mobile County or Baldwin County, Alabama; and (c) have a home with a central heating and cooling system or one that Hembree determines can accept one. Employees of Hembree, their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their spouses) and members of their households, and judges and members of their households, are not eligible.
5. How to nominate. (a) Complete the online form at https://www.hembreeac.com/give-thanks/; (b) call Hembree at (251) 259-4664 during business hours; or (c) complete a paper nomination card and return it to Hembree’s office. Each nomination must include the nominator’s and nominee’s names and contact information and a description of why the nominee deserves the prize. Nominations become the property of Hembree and will not be returned. Incomplete, illegible, or late nominations are void.
6. Nominee consent. Hembree will contact each nominee to confirm eligibility and consent to be considered. A nominee who declines, or who cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, will not be considered.
7. Judging. A panel of five judges, including at least two judges not employed by Hembree, will score each eligible nomination on: Impact of a new system on the household (40%); the nominee’s story of hardship and service to others (35%); and financial need (25%). The number of times a person is nominated does not affect scoring. Up to five finalists may receive a free home evaluation. On November 26, 2026, the judges will select one winner and one alternate. Judges’ decisions are final. The home evaluation must be completed by 11/30/2026.
8. Grand prize (one). A new Trane heating and cooling system appropriately sized for the winner’s home, installed by Hembree, with the standard manufacturer’s warranty, plus three (3) years of Hembree maintenance service. Approximate retail value (“ARV”): system and installation $10,000; maintenance $585; total $10,585. Actual value depends on the home. The prize includes standard equipment replacement and installation, including standard materials and permit. It does not include major ductwork replacement, electrical service upgrades, structural or carpentry work, mold or asbestos remediation, or work required to correct pre-existing code violations, unless Hembree elects to provide it. Installation must be completed by 12/10/2026.
9. Nominator prize (one). The person who submitted the winning nomination will receive a $100 gift card. If more than one person nominated the winner, the first eligible nomination received will receive the gift card.
10. Winner notification. Hembree will attempt to contact the winner by phone on November 26, 2026 and will announce the winner publicly that day at approximately 2:00 p.m. Central Time. If the winner cannot be reached by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on November 28, 2026, declines the prize, or fails to sign required documents within 7 days of receiving them, the prize will be awarded to the alternate.
11. Conditions. The winner must sign an eligibility and acceptance form, a publicity release, and an install scope acknowledgment, and must provide a completed IRS Form W-9. The winner is responsible for all taxes on the prize; Hembree will issue an IRS Form 1099 for the prize’s value as required by law. Prizes are not transferable and have no cash alternative. Hembree may substitute equipment of equal or greater value.
12. Publicity. Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize allows Hembree to use the winner’s name, city, story, and likeness in the ways the winner approved in the publicity release, without further payment.
13. Privacy. Information submitted will be used to administer this campaign and to offer nominees a free system checkup through the contact methods they approve. Hembree does not sell this information.
14. General. Hembree may cancel, modify, or suspend this campaign if it cannot be run as planned, and may disqualify any person who tampers with the nomination process or provides false information. Participants release Hembree, its employees, and the judges from liability arising from participation or acceptance and use of a prize, except where prohibited by law and except for claims under the manufacturer’s warranty. This campaign is governed by Alabama law.
15. Social media. This campaign is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram (Meta).
