Since the air handler houses so many important subcomponents, whenever you need AC repairs, it’s usually associated with the air handler.
Some of the most common air handler repairs we perform include:
- Air filter issues- The air handler is responsible for distributing air to your ductwork and, therefore, needs an interrupted supply of fresh, clean air to work properly. If your air filters are dirty or clogged, it can cause components in the air handler to be strained and not work efficiently.
- Overheating- If your air handler is overheating, it can be attributed to a malfunctioning blower motor or faulty capacitor, relay or control board. Additionally, your system can become overheated from the extra strain put on the unit by a dirty air filter.
- Evaporator coil problems- The evaporator coil is what transfers heat in your system and condenses the air. If the coil has the chance to become dirty, it may freeze and stop working. This can put extra pressure on your condenser unit and cause a whole chain of problems inside the air handler.
If your AC is making strange noises or not working properly, chances are the issue is somehow related to the air handler. Reach out to our Mobile AC technicians right away for a prompt diagnosis and reliable repair or replacement.
